Retail Gas Prices Drop 1 Cent Across Texas

HOUSTON (AP) - A travel group says retail gasoline prices in Texas are slightly lower, having dropped a penny this week.

AAA Texas on Thursday reported the average price per gallon is $3.83.

Prices at the gas pump also fell an average 3 cents this week across the country, down to $3.91 per gallon.

The Triple-A survey found that Houston has the most expensive gasoline, at $3.88 per gallon. Amarillo has the cheapest gasoline in the state, at an average $3.63 per gallon.

The association says a slowing economy and the easing of tensions with Iran are contributing to the slight decline in retail gasoline prices.
