Rangers Tickets Set To Go On Sale
ARLINGTON (CBSDFW.COM) - The Texas Rangers are at camp and spring training is underway. If you need another sign that baseball season is just around the corner, check out Rangers Ballpark in Arlington on Saturday morning -- individual tickets go on sale at 9:00 a.m. for the 2012 regular season, except for Opening Day.
If past years are any indication, expect a crowd of Rangers fans to show up at the stadium, online and over the phone, to snap up any tickets to their favorite games.
The Rangers are opening up their west ticket office for Saturday's sale. Online, tickets will be sold at TexasRangers.com. And over the phone, the number to call is 972-RANGERS. A team spokesperson said that a limited number of Opening Day tickets are available by purchasing certain ticket packages.
The Rangers also unveiled the 2012 promotions schedule. This year, the Rangers franchise is celebrating their 40th anniversary. Several promotions will focus on the anniversary, including retro T-shirts, a calendar and 1970s Rangers cap. Plus, bobbleheads are back for yet another year. This time, Adrian Beltre, Ian Kinsler and manager Ron Washington will be immortalized. Eight different Rangers will be featured on promotions, including Elvis Andrus, Beltre, Nelson Cruz, Josh Hamilton, Kinsler, Mike Napoli, Washington and Yu Darvish.
Twelve post-game fireworks shows will again take place after every home Friday night game. The Rangers said that there will be ticket and parking discounts on those nights.
