Rangers Could Move Ross To Rotation
ARLINGTON (CBS SPORTS) - The Texas Rangers will consider moving left-handed pitcher Robbie Ross from the bullpen to the rotation if the team doesn't add another starting pitcher this offseason, according to general manager Jon Daniels.
The 23-year-old Ross had a fantastic rookie season with the Rangers in 2012, going 6-0 with a 2.22 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 47 strikeouts in 65 innings.
If Ross is shifted into a starting role, he will likely compete with lefty Martin Perez for the fifth spot in the rotation.
