Rainfall Deficits Around the State
Every single big city in Texas is reporting a rainfall deficit for this year. Some areas are showing a big decrease in rainfall from average. Even though the numbers aren't as big out west, it is important to remember that average rainfall is much less in West Texas than in the rest of the state. For instance, in Midland and El Paso, those two cities have only seen .11" of rain all year! But the rainfall deficit is not as big as Houston's because they don't average as much rain as Houston.
