Rain Chances Going Up for the Weekend in North Texas
RAIN CHANCES INCREASING THIS WEEKEND...
The upper level disturbance that has brought so much heavy rain to SE Texas will be moving back to the west tomorrow and on Sunday. Another weak upper level disturbance in Kansas will be moving toward North Texas tonight. These two will merge and then meander back to the west over the weekend. Here's look at where these disturbances are located as of 4pm on Friday. The red dashed lines are the disturbances.

This evening a few isolated showers and thunderstorms will be possible even in the Metroplex. But the best coverage will be to our south and east this evening and tonight.

The temperature outlook as we move into August, September and October continues are above average trend. We are looking at temperatures 0.5 degree to 1.0 degree above average over the next three months. Much of the country is expecting above average temperatures too.
