Police Investigate Discovered Human Remains

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - Police are investigating the circumstances behind burned human remains found in a field in Southeast Dallas.

Dallas Police Spokesmen Kevin Janse says a woman found the bones near Wixom Lane and Fireside Drive around 7:30 a.m. Saturday morning.

Police brought in cadaver dogs because bones were scattered around the area.

According to Janse investigating officers believe the remains are of a woman and appear to have been in the field for least a couple of days.

Medical examiners have yet to release any information about the remains.
