Plan To Outsource Police Met With Stiff Opposition

The idea to outsource the police department in Trophy Club was met with stiff opposition from hundreds of residents at last night's council meeting.  The council only discussed the cost-cutting idea last night, but residents took the opportunity to pack the council chambers to voice their opposition to the plan.  A Facebook page and petition in support of the police force in Trophy Club have gained a lot of support over the past couple weeks.  The city says it could save 600 thousand dollars a year by leaving policing duties up to officers who currently serve Roanoke.
