Parsons On Whether He Deserves A Max Contract? 'Sure Do'

DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - Chandler Parsons created a twitter storm early Tuesday morning when he decided to take questions before his flight from London to Los Angeles.
Parsons answered many questions from fans, ranging from his contract situation to his injury history, and more.
Dallas has targeted Miami Heat center Hassan Whiteside and Memphis Grizzlies point guard Mike Conley in free agency, while keeping Chandler Parsons on the back-burner. If Dallas is able to sign those two players, they won't have enough money to sign Parsons.
Here are some of the highlights from the Q&A:
Question: Are you staying in Dallas?
Answer: "Will find out very soon."
Question: Do you think Dirk is the GOAT (Greatest of all time)?
Answer: "Love Dirk"
Question: Are you worried about your old injuries?
Answer: "Nope. I'm healthy and going to be a monster this season."
Question: Still friends with DeAndre (Jordan)?
Answer: "Of course, friendships go beyond basketball."
Question: Do you think that you deserve a max contract after those injuries?
Answer: "Sure do."
Question: Do you like being in Dallas?
Answer: "Dallas is amazing. Nothing but love for Dallas."
Question: Why did you opt out of your contract?
Answer: "Because I have a brain."
Question: Why do you deserve a max contract?
Answer: "Cuz im really good at basketball."
The biggest takeaway from these comments are that Parsons believes he deserves a max contract, which we've already suspected.
As we've reported, Dallas has no intention of offering Parsons a max contract. But, Mavs fans better be prepared for the repercussions of a Parsons departure and a swing and a miss on Conley and Whiteside. What will that mean for an aging Dirk Nowitzki, who is also a free agent? We'll see if it gets to that in July.
