DART Train Runs Over, Kills Person In Dallas

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - DART confirmed a person died on its tracks just south of the Cedars station this afternoon.

"We were coming from 8th and Corinth and when we were almost to Cedars station, something went under the train," said DART passenger Jerry Parlor.

Several witnesses recounted what happened moments after the person was struck.

"You could hear it go under the train and when the train stopped it jerked," said Xonteral Brown. "The train conductor came out and said she had hit a person."

DART has advised Blue and Red line passengers will need to board a bus shuttle between 8th & Corinth and Dallas Convention Center stations. They should expect delays.
