Officer Injured During Traffic Stop
DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - Police are looking for a suspect involved in assaulting a police officer during a traffic stop Saturday night.
Dallas police say that around 8:50 p.m. an officer pulled over a suspect driving a blue Jaguar for a traffic violation at 2000 Campfire Circle.
The officer discovered the suspect had warrants for his arrest after learning the man's identify.
The officer then tried to remove the suspect from his vehicle to arrest him.
The suspect then drove away while one of the officer's arms was in the side the car. In response the officer fired shots from his gun.
The suspect got away.
The officer suffered minor injuries to his arm and leg but did not go to the hospital. He is ok.
At this time it is not known if the suspect was injured during his escape.
