North Texas Lake Levels Continue To Fall

It has been a very dry start to the year.  How dry?  This is the 9th driest start to a year on record.  And I have 114 years of data.  We have seen just over 2" of rain so far this year.  That is nearly 6" behind average.

Thru usage and now more evaporation, lake levels are dropping.

There is some rain in the forecast this week.  Spring-like thunderstorms will be possible, each day this week except Friday.  But the coverage will not be very high except maybe on Wednesday and Thursday.  Be sure to stay with CBS 11 for the latest on the forecast this week.
