Nice Today, Nice Tomorrow

Morning temperatures started in the 30's but the ample sunshine pushed the highs into the upper 60's. It was an absolutely gorgeous day to start our weekend.

Yes, mild weather is back. Last Monday we awoke with the coldest morning in three winters with wind chills below zero. And after several days of clouds, fog and drizzle the sun came out yesterday afternoon to wipe the cold and wet away:

Highs tomorrow will even be warmer, probably the warmest day so far this year (only 353 more to go).

One potential problem with tomorrow however: the wind. Gusts will reach into the 30-mph range, perhaps even near 40-mph!

I think we all know about the Polar Vortex these days. It plans to stay bottled up in Canada this week ahead. They'll have some shots of very cold air into the Great Lakes and New England but for us the week ahead looks mild and dry. Here is the forecasted position of the Vortex by next Friday:
