Mother's Day Forecast

Nice weather today across north Texas.  A north wind keeps the humidity low, this dry air will keep the clouds to a minimum. Sunny skies will be the rule across the afternoon as the winds turn to the southeast and stay modest (5-10 mph).  Highs will get close to 80°:

The longest run of 80 degree weather so far this year in store for us as we cross into the second half of May:

We are going to stay dry until Wednesday it looks. An upper level system currently in the Baja of Mexico will move across the southern plains. By Wednesday it'll bring decent rain chances to north Texas:

It's been a dry May so far:

In fact the last three months have seen deficits in rain amounts.

All of north Texas is in a moderate drought with the western edge in the severe drought:
