Mavs Sign C Samuel Dalembert To One-Year Deal

DALLAS (CBSDFW) -- The Dallas Mavericks have reached an agreement to bring back free agent center Samuel Dalembert.

105.3 The Fan's Mike Fisher reports the one-year deal will pay Dalembert just under $1.5 million.

The 6-foot-11 Dalembert played for Dallas during the 2013-14 season, averaging 6.6 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 1.2 blocks in 20 minutes per game.

Dallas has been searching for help at the center position since DeAndre Jordan's free agent snub. Dalembert will likely serve as the primary backup to Zaza Pachulia, who was acquired from Milwaukee for a future second-round pick.

Dalembert spent last season with the Knicks, where he appeared in just 32 games.
