Man Accused Of Animal Cruelty To Run $12-M Horse Park
DALLAS (CBS 11 News) - A man who once faced charges of animal cruelty will manage a new, multi-million dollar equestrian park in Dallas.
Harris Wayne Kirk will run the Texas Horse Park; controlling a taxpayer investment of $12 million. Kirk has claimed that disgruntled workers made complaints about him to animal control in 2011.
The charges against Kirk were eventually dropped.
On Dec 9, a Dallas City Council committee meeting will discuss The Texas Horse Park, expected to open next year in south Dallas.
