Low-Carb, Low-Fat Duke It Out

New research shows a low-carb diet works just as well as low-fat when it comes to losing weight -- and it may be better for your heart. The latest research is one of the longest to compare the weight-loss plans. In both plans, people dropped about 15 pounds on average, but the main difference was in the HDL numbers. A low-carb diet resulted in a 23 percent increase in good cholesterol while a low-fat diet netted a 12 percent gain.

The findings have been published in the Annals of Internal Medicine. You can read more by clicking here.
