Lone Star Conference To Play At Cowboys Stadium

RICHARDSON (AP) - The Lone Star Conference will host a Sept. 17 football festival at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington.

The Richardson-based LSC on Tuesday announced the event will feature two conference games and one non-conference matchup.

The LSC says Midwestern State will face Texas A&M-Commerce, while West Texas A&M will take on Texas A&M-Kingsville. The non-conference game will have LSC champion ACU playing North Alabama of the Gulf South Conference.

Commissioner Stan Wagnon says the festival will provide LSC football teams with a "tremendous opportunity to gain exposure in North Texas."

Tickets will go on sale in a few weeks.

Cowboys Stadium will be the site of the Feb. 6 Super Bowl.
