Levine Wins 'Challenger Of Dallas' Tennis Title
DALLAS (CBSDFW) - Canadian-American Jesse Levine won the $100,000 YP Challenger of Dallas singles title Saturday night at the T Bar M Racquet Club with a straight set 6-4, 6-4 win over Belgium's Steve Darcis, the 82nd ranked player in the world.
In a marathon 10-point tiebreaker, England's Chris Eaton and Dominic Inglot outlasted Americans Jack Sock and Nicholas Monroe, 6-7, 6-4, 19-17, to take the Challenger of Dallas doubles championship in dramatic fashion.
The singles title is the 4th career ATP Challenger tournament title for the 24-year old Levine, a former Junior Wimbledon doubles champion who turned pro in 2007 after one season at the University of Florida.
