Dallas Kidnapping Suspect Arrested

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) – Police have arrested a man suspected of kidnapping a victim at gunpoint and forcing her to withdraw money from several ATMs.

The suspect, Horance Jones Jr., 18 was arrested on March 24 near Pine and Malcolm X Boulevard, according to the Dallas Police Department.

Jones and one other man are accused of abducting the woman at gunpoint at an apartment parking lot at the 9000 block of Vantage Point Drive on March 18.

Both suspects drove the woman to several ATMs to withdraw money.

Later that day, the suspects committed a robbery at the 5600 block of Ellworth Ave. and the victim was shot by one of the suspects.

The kidnapped woman was later released at 1400 block of South Fitzhugh.

Police have identified the other suspect and have issued a warrant for his arrest, but did not release his name to the media.
