DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - "Alex Cross" stars Tyler Perry as the Detective and Psychologist from the popular James Patterson novels. He takes over the role for Morgan Freeman, who played Alex Cross in the movies "Kiss the Girls" and "Along Came a Spider."

Tyler Perry gained fame for his "Madea" movies, so this is a big change of pace for him. You will also recognize Matthew Fox from "Lost," or remember him from his "Party of Five" days.
