Hundreds Gather To Remember Teen Killed In Crash

MCKINNEY (CBSDFW.COM) - Hundreds gathered Monday night at McKinney North High School for a vigil for 17-year-old Cody Hensley.

Hensley, along with 17-year-old Stephan Chaney of Princeton High School, were killed early Sunday morning in a single car crash in Collin County.

Monday friends of both teenagers wore camouflage to school – a display of affection for the two teenagers who loved to hunt.

At the vigil Hensley's father, Chris, gave the crowd of teary-eye students words to live by.

He told them, "I hope that all of you can take from this that all that you have and all that you can ever leave behind is the good that you can put on other people."

Hensley's father then went on say, "Grieve today, grieve tomorrow, and then move on and be happy for what we had with Cody."

Hensley was one of seven teenage boys who piled into a car that had only five seat belts.

Investigators say the driver lost control on a curve. The car then flipped and rolled.

One of the teenagers who survived the crash was released Monday from the hospital. Two others remain in hospital, including the driver, 19-year-old Joshua Bartlett.
