Hot Weekend Ahead
We have a word of the weekend weather coming and that word is HOT. For yet another weekend in June we'll have warm and dry conditions teamed along with a rather brisk wind.
TONIGHT
Lows will drop down to the upper 70's inside the city, mid-70's elsewhere. A steady south wind remains with us tonight as we again watch storms up in Oklahoma moving southeast toward north Texas. There is such a small chance they'd clip the northwest corner (Bonham, Paris) that we'll keep it under 10%. Just a few clouds are expect coming up from the south, southeast for us.
THIS WEEKEND
Two days of the same weather ahead. After a few clouds clear in the morning we'll have mostly sunny skies and highs in the upper 90's. Windy days ahead with a brisk south wind 15-25mph. Tomorrow the dewpoints will be high enough to get the "feel-like" up to 105°. The forecast high is around 98 degrees, we expect a high on Sunday in the upper 90's as well.
HOT JUNE ENDING HOT
The average high so far this June is a whopping 97 degrees, the 30-year average is 91 degrees. So far this June is running even hotter than our typical July, traditional the hottest month of the year around here. The month is going to end following the same trend. We'll run a string of 100° days all the way to the 30th starting on Monday. There doesn't appear to much of a chance of rain during this period, we might start seeing more in clouds and pop up afternoon storms by next weekend.
