It's been 20 years since the folks at Central Market brought the Hot Hatch Chili pepper to Texas from Hatch, New Mexico. This weekend they are sponsoring the 7th annual Hot Hatch Chili Run, Walk and Roll to benefit the Neuro-Assistance Foundation.
"I was injured 18 years ago in a motor vehicle accident" said Beverly Olson, the co-founder of the Neuro-Assistance Foundation. She found out quickly that insurance didn't cover a lot of what people needed with spine injuries.
"A friend of mine named Cindy Cooperman and I got together eight years ago and said let's start the foundation to help anyone with a spinal disability to be able to get the equipment that they need" Beverly added.
Central Market in Southlake is the sponsor and starting location for the 7th Annual Hot Hatch Chili Run, Walk and Roll.
