GRAND PRAIRIE(CBSDFW.COM) - Grand Prairie Police have charged a 25-year-old man with the murder of his grandfather.

Investigators say Diego Preciado choked his grandfather to death while his grandmother tried to stop him.  No word on a motive and the victim's name has not yet been released.

The crime happened around 11:30 a.m. Monday near the 900 block of NE 19th Street.

Police responded after getting a 911 call where the caller said nothing and hung up.  When they arrived at the house a woman told them a man had just killed her husband and both were inside the home.

Preciado's bond is set at $500,000.
