Great Weekend Ahead, But Lingering Rain This Evening

RAIN AND CLOUDS ROLLING OUT OF NORTH TEXAS TONIGHT…

Lingering rain continues mainly up along the Red River this afternoon.  Spotty showers and even an isolated thunderstorm will be possible for areas North and Northeast of Dallas this evening.  Mainly areas east of I-35 and north of I-20.  So if you think of that NE quadrant of North Texas that includes such areas as Greenville, Sulphur Springs, Bonham, Paris, Clarksville, that is the area that has the best chance of seeing more rain and isolated thunderstorms this evening.

The big upper level low is now located along the Oklahoma and Kansas border and continues to slowly move to the NE.  The cloud line is basically along the I-20 corridor with areas south of DFW seeing lots of sunshine today and warming into the mid 70s.  But up along the Red River temperatures are in the 50s.

CHILLY TONIGHT…

After our evening rain chances, skies will become partly cloudy tonight with a light NW wind.  Temps will drop into the upper 40s so it will be another chilly morning tomorrow.

WARM-UP BEGINS TOMORROW AFTERNOON…

After  a chilly start to our Friday, temperatures will warm into the upper 70s with lots of sunshine and light winds.  Just a beautiful Friday.

WEEKEND WARMTH…

This weekend will just be wonderful.  Lots of sunshine and temperatures topping out in the mid to low 80s each day!  Winds will be rather light, but increase a little on Sunday out of the south at 10 to 20 mph.  Morning lows on Saturday and Sunday will be in the 50s.

NEXT RAIN CHANCE…

The middle part of next week might bring some scattered showers and thunderstorms to the area, but nothing terribly organized to bring widespread rain or storms.
