Free Cellphones, Service For Low-Income Texans
Free cellphones and free cellphone service is being offered to nearly a million low-income Texans. Sprint-Nextel's making the offer through its Assurance Wireless division. The deal includes Texas and six other states. SafeLink Wireless has a similar plan available -- although with fewer free minutes.
