Murder-For-Hire Plot Leads to Arrests
In a confusing four-way tangle of relationships, a Lewisville man and woman have been charged in a murder-for-hire plot. Billie Jo Mitchell and Ariel Garcia have been locked-up on two counts of criminal solicitation of capital murder. Police say they tried to hire a hitman to murder Mitchell's husband and his girlfriend. All four of them lived in the same apartment. The would-be hitman went to police who gathered evidence through recorded conversations. Garcia and Mitchell are held on bonds of $100,000 a piece.
