Forney Adds "In God We Trust" To City Vehicles

FORNEY (CBSDFW.COM) - The City of Forney placed "In God We Trust" stickers on fire engines and police cruisers Tuesday.

While they are the first to get the slogan, the city says all city vehicles will be outfitted with them soon.

Other Texas cities have been active adding "In God We Trust."

In March, North Richland Hills announced it will be displaying the motto somewhere inside its  nearly-finished city hall in town.

In September 2015, the Childress Police chief was criticized for placing "In God We Trust" decals on patrol vehicles.

He sent a terse letter telling a watchdog group to "go fly a kite" after the group sent a letter of complaint when he placed "In God We Trust" decals on patrol vehicles.
