Fatal Grand Prairie Collision Closes Part Of Interstate 20

GRAND PRAIRIE (CBSDFW.COM) – Two eastbound lanes along a portion of Interstate 20 stretching from TX-161 to Great Southwest Parkway is closed because of a fatal three-car collision.

Grand Prairie Police Department spokesman Lyle Ginsler said a person was ejected from their vehicle when the three cars hit each other there. One went off the road and flipped over at about 5:30 p.m., Ginsler said.

It appeared the female victim was not wearing a seatbelt. Her name and age have not been released.

Eastbound Interstate 20 was closed completely for about a half hour. At 6 p.m., police opened up the outside lane while the other two remained closed.
