Farmer's Market Property Owners Want Police Nearby
Property owners near the Dallas Farmer's Market hope a billboard reading "Support Your Dallas Police - We Need You Here" will convince the city to put a new substation in their neighborhood.
The area has witnessed an increase in crime in recent years, and mayor pro tem Dwaine Caraway says a decision on where to put a new station should come fairly soon. In addition to the billboard, some property owners have reportedly offered to let the city use their land in an effort to get a substation in that area.
