16-Year-Old Arrested For Shooting Threat Against Cedar Hill High School

CEDAR HILL, Texas (CBSDFW.COM) - Authorities in Cedar Hill arrested a 16-year-old student in connection to a shooting threat made against Cedar Hill High School Thursday evening.

Police notified Cedar Hill ISD police about the school shooting threat made on social media and found where the message came from.

"Thank you to the officers who worked quickly to identify the location. CHISD takes these matters seriously. Those responsible will receive consequences," the school district tweeted. "Parents, talk to your children about safety. If they see something, they should say something."

The district said it will press charges of terroristic threat.
