Ex-Teacher Accused Of Sexually Assaulting Kids
FORT WORTH (AP) - A former elementary school teacher in North Texas previously charged with fondling a child has been arrested again after two students told authorities he sexually assaulted them.
Fifty-year-old Max Marchelli is in the Mansfield city jail Wednesday facing charges that include aggravated sexual assault of a child. His total bond was set at $105,000.
Police say two second-grade girls at Western Hills Elementary School in Fort Worth claimed Marchelli had assaulted them. Following an investigation, the Burleson man was taken into custody Monday.
Marchelli was teaching at the school last year when another student accused him of inappropriate conduct. He resigned from the school district and later was arrested. He was indicted in April and remained free on $100,000 bond.
An attorney for Marchelli told the Fort Worth Star-Telegram that he plans to seek a bond reduction for his client in the two most recent cases.
