Burnt Food Led To Evacuation Of Dallas' Crowley Courts Building After Report Of Smoke
DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - The Frank Crowley Courts Building in downtown Dallas was evacuated Thursday afternoon, March 3 after a report of smoke coming from the seventh floor of the building.
CBS 11 was there covering the Darius Fields trial when the building had to be cleared.
Images from Chopper 11 around 3:30 p.m. showed no smoke coming from the buildings.
Dallas Fire-Rescue said the incident was the result of burnt food.
There were no reports of injuries.
Shortly before 4:00 p.m., people were allowed to go back into the building, but testimony in the trial ended for the day.
