DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) – Dallas Love Field was evacuated Saturday morning after fire alarms sounded in the building.
According to the City of Dallas Public Information Officer Sana Syed, "Some alarms went off and we have to follow protocol."
No fire was found and there was no word yet on what triggered the alarms.
At 11:15am Dallas Fire and Rescue gave the all clear. Syed said employees would be let back in first, then passengers.
Officials said that both baggage carousels and TSA Checkpoints have been re-opened.
"We think it's a false alarm," said Syed earlier. "Dallas Fire and Rescue is still on scene and people are being kept out of terminal until they figure out what triggered the alarm."
Earlier a large crowd could be seen outside the terminal area and pictures from within the building showed the area had very few people.
Some passengers told CBSDFW that people who had already gone through security were forced to evacuate the building. Some say they were on planes already and told to deplane.
Some passengers on the scene say they have missed flights because of the evacuation.
The evacuation appeared orderly.
