Ellis County Sheriff Seeks "Jane Doe" ID
WAXAHACHIE (CBSDFW.COM) - The Ellis County Sheriff's Office is appealing to the public to help them identify the remains of an unknown woman. The Sherrif's Office says the woman was found July 23 in a wooded area near the 1400 block of Black Champ Road in Ellis County.
The woman is 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighs approximately 115 pounds. The Ellis County Sheriff's Office believes the woman is African-Amerian and was found wearing a black or dark gray tank top, blue jeans and white Nike brand tennis shoes. According to investigators, she may have disappeared around the afternoon of July 17.
Ellis County Sheriff's Office investigators believe the woman died in another location from the one where she was found.
