DRT Wants to Trademark "The Alamo"
SAN ANTONIO (AP) _ Texas is opposing an attempt by the Daughters of the Republic of Texas to trademark the phrase ``The Alamo.'' The state argues in a brief filed today with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office that it is the rightful owner of the trademark. The state says the Daughters' application would likely cause confusion.
