Dozens Of Pets Abandoned At Dallas Home

Residents of a southeast Dallas home take off leaving dozens of pets behind.Neighbors near the home in the 2000 block of Cool Mist Lane called the city to complain that two women living in the home had abandoned the animals. Animal Control officers found 83 dogs and cats alive, 39 more were dead.  Officials say the surviving animals are in poor condition and cannot be offered for adoption right away.  For the time being they have been placed with rescue groups.  The names of the residents have not been released.  Authorities say they are likely to face charges of Animal Cruelty.
