DALLAS (AP) - The chief financial officer for Dallas schools has been named interim superintendent.

Dallas Independent School District trustees on Monday night selected Alan King to lead the district until a new superintendent is chosen.

King takes over for Michael Hinojosa, who on Sunday was named superintendent for the Cobb County, Ga., school district. Hinojosa's last day with DISD will be June 30. He replaces retiring Superintendent Fred Sanderson.
