CARROLLTON (CBSDFW.COM) - Authorities have apprehended the final suspect in a string of North Texas home invasion robberies. Octavius Scott was taken into custody by U.S. Marhsals early Thursday morning in Houston.

Police in Carrollton said that the 22-year-old suspect will be transferred back to the DFW area "as soon as possible." He is also wanted for crimes in New York and Georgia.

A total of five homes have been buglarized across three cities since Friday night. Scott is one of four suspects who were wanted in connection with the series of crimes. Officers in Carrollton had previously arrested 19-year-old Rodney Ray and 34-year-old Juan Olaya, while police in Flower Mound nabbed 19-year-old Johnisha Williams.

Those three other suspects were all caught after a Sunday night robbery at a home in Flower Mound. Officials said that the masked suspects, armed with handguns, forced their way into the residence and stole cash and jewelry, assaulting a person in the process. Williams was arrested soon after.

The remaining suspects fled on foot into Lewisville, where they allegedly carjacked a man and drove into Carrollton. As police spotted the stolen vehicle, the suspect started to flee on foot, with Ray and Olaya being caught and arrested. The fourth suspect, Scott, had been on the run since that time.

Authorities have tied these crimes to other recent home invasion robberies in Allen and Coppell. In some cases, family members were bound with duct tape and held at gunpoint while they were robbed.

Officials said that the robbers primarily targeted Indian families. "They look for jewelry and cash in the home, because they know that they keep a lot of heirloom jewelry," said Capt. Wess Griffin with the Flower Mound Police Department.
