Deadly crash reported along highway in Irving, police say

The Irving Police Department said it's investigating a deadly multi-vehicle crash that unfolded early Saturday morning.

Police said it happened around 3:30 a.m. along State Highway 114 near MacArthur Boulevard. Traffic was forced to exit at Hidden Ridge.

Part of the highway was closed for several hours, with Irving Police asking drivers to avoid the area. 

A CBS News Texas photojournalist who recorded the aftermath of the crash spotted the wreckage, which appeared to include a motorcycle.
