Dallas Woman Convicted Of Starving Stepson To Death

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - A Dallas woman accused of starving her stepson to death and dumping his body is guilty.

A jury found 33-year-old Elizabeth Ramsey guilty of causing serious bodily injury to a child, which is a first degree felony.

Ten-year-old Jonathan Ramsey's remains were found in an Ellis county creek in April 2012.

Elizabeth Ramsey's husband, Aaron, was sentenced to life in prison last year.

He confessed to locking his son in a bedroom and depriving him of food.

Ramsey will return to court Wednesday morning for the punishment phase of the trial.
