Dallas Police Sergeant Placed On Restricted Duty

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - Dallas police say Sgt. George Aranda has been placed on restricted after being named a suspect in an assault offense.
The Mansfield ISD Police Department is conducting an investigation in an assault that occurred Thursday allegedly involving Sgt. Aranda.
Sgt. Aranda is on restricted duty pending the outcome of the criminal and administrative investigation.
He is a 25-year veteran of the police department.
