Critical Missing Dallas Man Found Safe

UPDATE (11 a.m.): Charles Taylor was located safely by patrol officers.

DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) -- Dallas Police are asking for the public's help in locating a 75-year-old man with dementia who disappeared from his apartment on Wednesday evening.

Charles Taylor walked away from his apartment located at 9450 Royal Lane around 5:30 p.m.

He is described as a black male standing 5-foot-5 and 130 pounds. He has gray hair and was last seen wearing a brown and navy plaid long-sleeve shirt with blue jeans and white Nike tennis shoes.

Anyone with information about Taylor's whereabouts is encouraged to contact the Missing Persons Unit at 214-671-4268 or call 9-1-1.
