Dallas Cop Injured During Low-speed Chase

A Dallas Police Officer is in the hospital, recovering from an accident Friday evening at the end of a slow speed chase. Officals say officers responded to a disturbance call at the Minyard grocery store at Ledbetter and Lancaster just after 8:00. It appears the male suspect was on drugs. When officers arrived they saw the suspect leaving in a vehicle. The suspect refused to stop when police tried to conduct a traffic stop. A very slow chase continued where the suspect drove north bound on I-45 from Ledbetter. A one man squad car tried to hold back traffic from east bound I-30 to north bound highway 75. That's where the suspect drove into the squad causing it to collide with the side wall. The pursuit ended at I-45 and I-30. The officer in the squad recieved a laceration to his head and a possible concussion. The officer was taken to Baylor Hospital in stable condition. One suspect is in custody.
