Dallas City Council Seeking Input From Residents
DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - The Dallas City Council wants to know if their goals are in-line with what residents want.
Last month, the council discussed a bond referendum with a focus on improving streets. The proposal could be as much as $550 million for road improvements and flood control, with a possible vote coming in November. But the city is hosting 25 meetings to get input from residents.
The first meeting is Tuesday at the Pleasant Oaks Recreation Center, and will be hosted by councilmember Vonciel Jones Hill. Click here for a complete list of dates and times for the meetings.
After the meetings, city staff members will develop a 2012 Capital Bond Program recommendation, which will be followed by more town hall meetings prior to the possible vote.
