Crashes snarl North Texas traffic on a rainy morning; lanes shut down on 45, I-30, I-35W, officials say
Early morning rain and accidents are causing delays on multiple highways in North Texas, officials say.
An 18-wheeler crash and diesel spill have shut down lanes along Interstate 30 at the US-287 ramp in Fort Worth. Fort Worth police said hazmat has been notified. Officials have not said what led to the crash or whether anyone was injured.
On I-45 northbound at Lamar, lanes are closed due to an overturned 18-wheeler, causing a 5-mile backup.
Drivers are urged to drive carefully; heavy rain and ponding may cause delays.
