"Cowtown Goes Green" For St. Paddy's Celebration
FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) - The Fort Worth Stockyards went green on Saturday from noon to 4 p.m. for St. Patrick's Day celebrations.
The Stockyards Station and the Fort Worth Stockyards National Historic District hosted "Cowtown Goes Green," the city's largest Irish celebration.
The four-hour event along East Exchange Avenue featured plenty of family-friendly activities, including pony rides, a petting zoo, face painting and contests hosted by Radio Disney.
Other events at the celebration included live music, gunfights and a greened-out parade following the daily 4 p.m. cattle drive.
Cowtown Goes Green was sponsored by the Trinity River Vision Authority, the Tarrant County Credit Union, Bennigans, Green Mountain Energy, the Boulders Apartments and Shannon Brewery.
