Cowboys' Lee Ready For 'Full-Go'

By Mike Fisher | @fishsports

IRVING (CBSDFW.COM) -- The Cowboys are keeping a "governor" on the gung-ho Sean Lee, almost as a way to protect himself against himself. But a year after surgery to repair an ACL torn in these very same OTA workouts, the standout linebacker is ready to cut loose.

"I think I'm ready to go, full-go," Lee said on Wednesday. "If I'm out there doing a drill or any part of practice, I feel completely comfortable. I feel like I could play again tomorrow if need be."

That won't quite be necessary. But Lee has been participating in individual drills this spring and has looked terrific in adjusting to weakside linebacker (with the presently absent Rolando McClain penciled in at Mike.)

"They have a plan for me to progress a certain way to make sure I'm comfortable out there, and I think it's going really, really well," Lee said, acknowledging the difficult climb back and the smart supervision of the Cowboys medical staff. "I think maybe next week (at the final set of OTAs at Valley Ranch) we'll see if I can progress and do some of the team periods and then by camp I'll be doing everything."
