DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) - Sitting with Cowboys fullback Tyler Clutts, he admits this has been one tough season. At the same time, he's excited about what lies ahead, not just for the team on the field… but for his team at home as well.
His wife Tiffany, 4-year-old daughter Giada, and son Luca, all gather around the tree during this holiday season.
Tyler and Tiffany are quick to point out that the reason there are so few presents is they want to teach their kids Christmas is more about giving than receiving. In the words of Tyler "some of the most miserable people I have ever met are the people who have the most."
The husband and wife duo say nothing gives them more joy than their periodic global missions to help under privileged children. They say they are blown away by the people who have "so little, but so much faith."
Tiffany says she wants their kids to realize daddy is a football player and that's a serious job, but "there's nothing more special then when he comes home and we're together as a family".
Opening the Cowboys annual cookbook, Tiffany decides to bypass the recipe in the book. She would rather display her family recipe of marinara sauce. Giving Tyler the first spoonful reinforces their taste for a simple life.
"We have more than we need. I want everyone to realize it's about the relationships you make and how you impact people that really matters," said Clutts.
Tyler, Tiffany, Giada and Luca Clutts are a family of four setting a wonderful example of what this holiday season is truly about.
