Clear Skies & Warm Temperatures For DFW
FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) - North Texas will deal with a few clouds in the skies for the Tuesday morning hours, with completely cloudy skies holding for the southern parts of our area. This due to an upper level low working through the Hill Country. Showers and storms have held together around the low from Waco southward. While showers and storms will be frequent from Hillsboro to Corsicana, the rest of North Texas will be rain-free, with a trend toward mostly sunny skies during the afternoon.
Look for high temperatures near 84 degrees, light winds and just a 10 percent chance of storms on Tuesday. Storm chances increase to 30 percent or 40 percent as you move farther south.
Starting on Tuesday night, we will be in a dry pattern as the upper level low drifts out into the Gulf of Mexico. The skies will be clear and the air will be slightly drier overnight heading into Wednesday. This will allow temperatures to dip into the 50s for most suburbs and rural areas. Expect low temperatures near 62 degrees in DFW, and light winds.
Summertime temperatures -- highs between 87 degrees and 90 degrees -- are expected Wednesday through Monday, with sunny skies. Although the mornings will be mild initially, warmer mornings in the upper 60s are expected later in the week and through the weekend. Also, the winds will pick up from the south starting late Thursday through Sunday. The strongest winds will be on Saturday, at 15 to 25 mph with gusts over 30 mph.
